As a civic and philanthropic partnership, RC/RF aggregates resources to support comprehensive community development in our target neighborhoods.  The following partners have funded this effort:

Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD)

Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD) is Boston's antipoverty agency, serving more than 100,000 low-income Greater Boston residents through its city-wide network of neighborhood-based organizations. ABCD provides innovative, timely programs that promote upward mobility and a higher quality of life for people and communities.

Citizens Bank

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. is a $130 billion commercial bank holding company. It is headquartered in Providence, R.I., and, through its subsidiaries, has more than 1,500 branches, more than 3,700 ATMs and approximately 21,400 employees.

City of Boston, Department of Neighborhood Development

The mission of the Department of Neighborhood Development (DND) is to make Boston the most livable city in the nation by working with communities to build strong neighborhoods through the strategic investment of public resources.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Housing and Community Development

The Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is the Commonwealth's housing and community development agency. Since 1975 it has administered a statewide Section 8 program. DHCD has authority for near 20,000 units of Section 8 housing and contracts with eight regional housing agencies and one local housing authority. The Massachusetts DHCD also administers the state's Moving to Work (MTW) initiative, redesigning a percentage of its Section 8 project account to support families receiving public assistance and making the transition to work.

The Barr Foundation

The Barr Foundation is a private foundation committed to enhancing the quality of life for all of Boston’s residents. The Foundation’s vision is that of a city with deep connections to nature and community, rich cultural expression, and hopeful futures for children and youth. To achieve this vision, the Foundation focuses on partnerships with and among others that advance a vital, just and caring community.

The Boston Foundation

As Greater Boston’s community foundation, The Boston Foundation (TBF) devotes its resources to building and sustaining a vital, prosperous city and region, where justice and opportunity are extended to everyone. TBF fulfills this mission in three principal ways: making grants to nonprofit organizations and designing special funding initiatives to address this community’s critical challenges; working in partnership with donors and other funders to achieve high-impact philanthropy; and serving as a civic hub and center of information, where ideas are shared, levers for change are identified, and common agendas for the future are developed.

The Hyams Foundation

The mission of the Hyams Foundation is to increase economic and social justice and power within low-income communities in Boston and Chelsea. The Hyams Foundation envisions that Boston and Chelsea can be cities where success is not determined by race, and where low-income communities of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds can afford to live; have opportunities to advance; and contribute to civic life and community well-being.

 Massachusetts Growth Capital Corp.

The mission of the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC) is to create and preserve jobs at small businesses, women and minority owned businesses, and to promote economic development in underserved, gateway municipalities and low and moderate income communities. Founded in 2010 through a statewide economic development bill, MGCC provides a centralized resource at the state level that offers working capital, loan guarantees, and targeted technical assistance to solve specific financial and operational problems. MGCC currently supports the Resilient Communities, Resilient Families' Entrepreneurship Program.

The Sovereign Bank Foundation seeks to enhance the quality of life for individuals by supporting local non-profit organizations in the communities they serve. Sovereign provides financial services and innovative products throughout the Northeast, and they support local community development initiatives through these financial resources and team member participation.

US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

HUD’s mission is to create strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality affordable homes for all. HUD is working to strengthen the housing market to bolster the economy and protect consumers; meet the need for quality affordable rental homes: utilize housing as a platform for improving quality of life; build inclusive and sustainable communities free from discrimination; and transform the way HUD does business.
